Max Labarre aka Panik Kid is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice brings together painting, music, performance, and references to urban cultures. His work engages with themes of individual freedom, resilience, and the inner struggles that unfold away from public view. It draws from an aesthetic shaped by graffiti, 1990s visual codes, and the raw energy of urban environments.
He grew up between Paris and Spanish Harlem (New York). This dual geographic background has profoundly influenced his sensitivity and his understanding of the social dynamics that shape public spaces. It informs his approach to gesture, color, and narrative, as well as his attention to the PEOPLE that inhabit and transform the city.
His musical practice, particularly as the vocalist of the rap-metal group Cloud Core, brings a rhythmic and performative dimension to his visual work. It reinforces the physical presence, tension, and momentum that define his artistic language across different media.
PANIK KID has participated in several exhibitions and also develops spontaneous interventions in public space. These non-institutional exhibitions, organized in locations such as skateparks or Parisian gardens, question the place of art within the city and explore how it can engage directly with diverse audiences.
His work aims to create spaces for encounter and exchange, where art becomes a catalyst for dialogue and shared experience. He conceives his projects as open structures, encouraging the circulation of personal narratives and individual expressions.
